Gathering for Baha'is of Jewish Descent in NYC

The Regional Bahá'í Council is delighted to announce this gathering to the believers in the region.

Gathering for Baha'is of Jewish Descent
New York City Baha'i Center 53 East 11th Street Between University Place and Broadway in Manhattan
Saturday, November 27th , from 4:30pm to 7:30pm second floor, front room with Baha'u'llah's announcement that the Promised One of Judaism has come, that the Burning Bush which spoke to Moses on Mt. Sinai has now appeared, thousands of Jews have accepted His Faith and became Jewish - Baha'is. With such a decision come untold blessings, challenges and responsibilities.
If you or your ancestors are of Jewish heritage, you are invited to an inaugural meeting for Baha'is of Jewish descent. The purpose of this meeting and the activities that will hopefully spring from are to facilitate the integration of Jewish Believers into the Baha'i community and to strengthen their grasp of the Covenant of Baha'u'llah.

The Department of the Secretariat, responding recently on behalf of the Universal House of Justice, has said that this is indeed a worthy intention. At this meeting we will come together to broaden our understanding of the Baha'i Writings as they relate to Judaism and the Jewish people, and to consult as to how to translate those Words into deeds.

  1. Don't you think that if active proselytizing of the Bahai faith is allowed in Israel that this will only fuel more flames in the Middle East and confirm accusations that the Bahai faith is a stooge of Zionism?

  2. The picture of "Jewish Baha'is" supposedly present at that meeting are actually of a couple of Baha'is at a meeting in London. One of them is Erica Leith, editor at George Ronald, and the other is Paddy Vickers. I think they are both of the Christian background.

In fact, there was no such meeting in NYC.

  6. Why Israeli government is not allowing us to teach this beautiful faith of Baha'u'llah. Do we teach anything other then what is Judaism, but in its more purer and modern form? Teaching is our faith and we cannot stop it even if the government does not allow us. We should teach in the Holy land, we should teach christians, muslims, jews or anybody residing in any corner of the world, including the HOLY LAND. We must know that JEWS are the most deserving people, because they denied so many manifestations of God.

  7. This is not a fake website. It is just fabricated out of Iran having the interests of Qom represented.

  8. I see you changed the picture after I pointed out that this was not a picture of Jewish Baha'is in New York but a couple of Baha'is of Christian background in London. You've now replaced with a picture of Baha'i youth, but it is still a gathering in London, not New York.

    But nice try.

  9. That picture is taken from a Baha'i youth gathering which took place in a British locality in 2007. As a matter of fact I attended that gathering, and I am present at that picture.
I had just landed in the UK, and I was eager to meet other Baha'i youth from the region, so that gathering was indeed the perfect occasion.
The atmosphere of love that permeated the gathering was uplifting. We socialised, discussed our plans for the future, and explored various Baha'i activities that we could get involved in.
Our background or descent mattered little to us. We were youth from accross the world who happened to be living in Britain at that time, who loved Bahá'u'lláh and who longed to serve his Cause.
And Bahá'u'lláh blessed us with such a beautiful meeting!
